Quick indignation
2009.05.26 17:24 by Leo Antunes - 0 CommentHow can some people refer to MySpace as an industry-changing symbol of Web2.0?
I know the term is pretty vague in its buzzwordyness, but I see MySpace as a prime example of a turn-of-the-millennium web page: bloated, impractical, static and ugly; as a sort of social version of Geocities (RIP, BTW) or some of those other epic dinosaurs of its era, which – as much as it pains to remember them – were certainly a big push in the initial mainstream adoption of the net as a repository of content.
So yeah, MySpace might have been exactly as important pushing the Inter-Hammock in a more social direction, but claiming it’s Web2.0 sounds like a vain use of the word, even for a buzzword.
